چکیده
The magnetization measurements at 5 K were carried out for Ni2Mn1 − xCuxGa (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.40) and Ni2MnGa1 − yCuy (0 ≤ y ≤ 0.25) alloys. All of the magnetization curves are characteristic of ferromagnetism or ferrimagnetism. By using Arrott plot analysis the spontaneous magnetization of all samples was determined from the magnetization curves. The magnetic moment per formula unit, μs, at 5 K was estimated from the spontaneous OPEN ACCESS

Magneto-Structural Properties of Ni2MnGa Ferromagnetic Shape Memory Alloy in Magnetic Fields
The purpose of this review was to investigate the correlation between magnetism and crystallographic structures as it relates to the martensite transformation of Ni2MnGa type alloys, which undergo martensite transformation below the Curie temperature. In particular, this paper focused on the physical properties in magnetic fields. Recent researches show that the martensite starting temperature ...
متن کاملMagnetic anisotropy in Ni 2 MnGa
We study here, within the density-functional theory, the magnetic anisotropy energy ~MAE! in Ni2MnGa which is a prototype of a magnetic shape-memory alloy. We calculate the MAE, which is a key property for the magnetic shape-memory effect, for tetragonal structure with different ratios of the c and a lattice constants, reproducing the experimental easy axes both in compression and elongation of...
متن کاملExchange Bias and Inverse Magnetocaloric Effect in Co and Mn Co-Doped Ni2MnGa Shape Memory Alloy
Exchange bias effect observed in the Ni1.68Co0.32Mn1.20Ga0.80 alloy confirms the coexistence of antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic phases in the martensite phase. A large inverse magnetocaloric effect has been observed within the martensitic transformation temperature range, which is originated from modified magnetic order through magnetic-field-induced phase transformation from partially anti...
متن کاملNovel Research for Development of Shape Memory Alloys
Shape memory alloys have attracted much attention due to their attractive properties for applications as well as their basic aspects of deformation and transformation in structural and magnetic behavior. In 1951, the Au–Cd alloy was discovered [1]. After that, numberless shape memory alloys have been developed. A lot of applications of shape memory alloys were realized after the Ti–Ni alloy was...
متن کاملCombined experimental and theoretical investigation of the premartensitic transition in Ni2MnGa.
Ultraviolet-photoemission (UPS) measurements and supporting specific-heat, thermal-expansion, resistivity, and magnetic-moment measurements are reported for the magnetic shape-memory alloy Ni2MnGa over the temperature range 100<T<250 K. All measurements detect clear signatures of the premartensitic transition (T(PM) approximately 247 K) and the martensitic transition (T(M) approximately 196 K)....
